Billing

We Get It: Senior Care is Expensive

Seemingly, no matter which way you turn, there are lots of hidden costs involved. Thankfully, home care is one of the least expensive options out there. A common issue we hear from our customers who have been with other agencies is that other home care agencies play games (deposit before care) or do a “bait-and-switch” (price low but then raise costs over time). We try to keep our pricing as stable and transparent as possible. After one of our nurses sets the price, it stays that way. Plus, there is no need for a deposit to start up care. We only bill after care has been provided.

How to Pay for Home Care

Typically there are two ways to pay for our type of service, and that is either through private pay or Long Term Care insurance. We do have a Medicaid Waiver but we presently do not accept Medicaid patients at this time. Unfortunately, Medicare currently does not reimburse for our type of service. There are many alternative payments methods available. If you have a question whether or not a certain payment method will cover our type of service, then please feel free to give us a call. We have helped many people (client or not) figure out what type of service they are covered for.

We accept the following types of payment:

  • Credit Card (no fee presently)

  • ACH

  • Check

Hourly Assisted Care

Assisted Care is our most requested service. This type of service helps promote Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) amongst our clients, such as ambulatory assistance, bathing, dressing, etc. This type of care ranges from $24 to $45 per hour, depending on the level of need.

Hourly Companionship Care

Don’t think your loved one needs help with the ADL’s? Then Companionship Care may be a great, lower cost alternative. Companionship Care is where are caregivers come and spend time with your loved one, such as helping with errands, light housekeeping, and so forth. This type of care can range anywhere from $23-$26 per hour, depending on the level of care and hours.

Live-In Care

Due to a tough regulatory environment, many agencies no longer offer Live-In Care. However, we find that it is still a low-cost way to get round-the-clock, 24/7 care. Prices can vary anywhere between $300-$350 per day.

Geriatric Care Management

Geriatric Care Management is where one of our nurses is personally assigned to your loved one. They will assist with setting up and attending appointments, medication refills, and so much more. This type of care typically costs $250 for the first initial visit with you and your loved one, and then is $75 for all subsequent visits.
