Home Care is Built on Trust
Trust and home care are synonymous. You don’t just want anyone coming in to take care of Mom or Dad. That is why we strive to provide care that is transparent and trusted by all of our clients.
““When my 83 year old mom was being released from the hospital after a stroke, we were given a long list of potential caregivers who could come to her home and provide for her. They all sounded like they provided the same care as the next company, but a friend recommended that I look into ACC Family. From the first phone call, I knew that they were genuinely concerned about my mother’s welfare, and I sensed that anyone they hired would be both professional and compassionate to her needs. My mother first needed round the clock care, and the woman they sent was considerate and very helpful to my mother, but gave my mother as much independence as she could while keeping her safe. When the 24 hour care was no longer needed, we hired shift workers, who were just as wonderful! If you want a caregiver that is just as concerned about your aging parents as you are, I would highly recommend ACC Family.””
“EVERYTHING about ACCFamily was exceptional. From the first conversation I had with Casey Lindsay (Director of Administration) to the assignment of a nurse for my Mom. Dealing with the impending loss of a loved one is so hard. But our nurse, Val, was extremely helpful and caring. I didn’t worry as much during the times I couldn’t be with my Mom when I knew Val was looking after her. Val was SO good about telling me about how Mom was during her visits. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!!! Thank you for what you do!!!”
“We needed short-term care as my husband was released from the hospital without notice and I wasn’t physically able to get him from the car to the house. Although they prefer 24-48 hrs notice, we were desperate to have someone there when he got home from the hospital, and they jumped through hoops to have an aide waiting for us with only a few hours’ notice.
Other agencies didn’t provide 24/7 contacts, which could prove critical if issues arise or your needs change during the off hours. Some wouldn’t send anyone out until their nurse conducted an evaluation, which in our case was a non-starter because they had several days’ wait. Still others insisted on a credit card in advance, whereas Adult Companion Care billed after services were provided. They promote the concept of trust both ways.
Their office manager, Lori, is the face (or voice) of this business and she is so compassionate and caring, with a calm that puts anxious family members at ease.
Their staff was very caring as well; we had two providers in the several weeks we needed assistance. The primary caretaker called after we had no longer needed their services, to see how my husband was doing. Just very nice and caring people. I will call them first if the need arises again, and definitely recommend them.”
“We really love this agency! They take great care of their clients. Having worked with a few other agencies, ACCfamily has provided the best caregivers to care for my loved one. Also, the office staff is easy to work with and really had our best interest in heart.”
“ACCFamily provided care for my Mother in her last months. We selected ACCFamily because I knew Jim and Leslie and their kind and generous spirits, and the company was recommended by a friend who was also using ACCFamily to provide care for his mother. My mother’s condition required 24-hour care. At first, she was in her home, but her dementia advanced quickly and she needed to be in a facility that could help provide the medical care she needed. ACCFamily staff provided care for my mother both in her home, and then in the different facilities where she resided. The care-givers were outstanding. They worked under challenging conditions at times (given mom’s rapid deterioration), and were needed to provide 24-hour alert care. The administrative staff was also wonderful. We experienced unexpected scheduling challenges with winter storms, and sometimes had emergency care needs. The administrative staff was communicative, professional and courteous. Mom’s alzheimer’s disease progressed quickly and it was an incredibly difficult time for her and our family. I felt incredibly fortunate and blessed to have ACCFamily working along side of us, and I would recommend them to anyone considering additional care for a loved one.”
“This company was super responsive to all of my inquiries and were able to schedule my transportation from a medical appointment over email and with no hassle. The caregiver, Julie, was a lovely person and super nice.
I haven’t dealt with the billing yet but as of now, I am extremely satisfied and will use them again.”
“We found ACC Family to help with care for my disabled husband, a stroke survivor, in November 2009, and have been so very pleased with their service that we’ve stayed with them ever since. What we like is their personal touch, professionalism and consistency. The scheduler at ACC Family listened to what we wanted - a smart, kind, flexible caregiver who could help my husband with bathing, range of motion exercises, and light housekeeping - and then they found a great person. Even when we needed a replacement, the lead scheduler listened and took the time to find the right match. Agencies that we’d used previously didn’t listen to what we needed; they just announced that they had someone available, and many times, the caregiver they sent didn’t work out. ACC Family is a family-run business with great staff, and they ask for our feedback regularly. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.”
“You would be hard pressed to find business owners with as much integrity as the Lindsay’s. They apply their personal compass to their business and it shows in each interaction. Couldn’t recommend a better group of people to care for loved ones.”
“My mother needed to be released from Rehab after a hip operation. She was very unhappy and wanted to return to her retirement community. ACC Family couldn’t have been better. They understood what needed to be done and acted very quickly. The care givers have been tremendous. The day and evening coordinating staff super. Mom is so much more content!
You can always get in touch with someone. They call you back (Other providers don’t always do that in a timely manner). Right now Mom has 24/7 service. Over time we may cut back depending on her physical therapy and abilities.
ACC Family are the only ones I would call when you need a care giver.
Thank you for all that you do.”
